Vehicular Exits

Car park exits, particularly from building basements in built-up areas (eg city centres) are often problematic because pedestrians simply don't have enough advance warning because of signs or lights being placed where they're not easily seen (such as high up over the exit). Even audible warnings such as sirens and buzzers can be missed, especially where background noise, or the use of personal audio devices swamps the sound.

SafeZone, when used with simple activation mechanisms (such as IR sensors), or smart devices (such as the ‘smart vehicle activation pad’ from Traffic Tech), can be activated via an ADC (Alert Device Controller) located atop a pole, or mounted on the side of the building, adjacent to the exit. When triggered, the ADC automatically activates the SafeZone IRADs, which are positioned across the footpath, extending from the exit to the kerbside.

This simple solution can also be applied to:

  - fire station exits
  - ambulance station exits
  - residential carparks (eg in apartment complexes)
