Pedestrian Crossings
|
Where traffic lights are not present, either due to location or cost, SafeZone can deliver the significantly increased visibility needed to warn drivers to SLOW DOWN AND STOP without the significant price tag. Pedestrian crossings on sections of road with higher speed limits, or near blind corners, or outside schools, or where road-side lights are often concealed by parked vehicles, can benefit immediately by the deployment of a SafeZone system. With a typical system comprising several lights to mark out the crossing, plus an array on either side, typical 20-100 metres either side of the crossing, plus a single radio controller (which can be pole or street light or building mounted), safety improvements can be realised relatively simply and inexpensively. Whether used as a stand-alone system, or in conjunction with an automated activation system or pedestrian detection system, SafeZone is a desirable addition to every town planner's, council's or road authority's arsenal of safety improvement solutions.
